Whiskey Creek friends and families!

As summer continues, we hope you and your families are enjoying a safe, relaxing, and fun season. If you’re missing your soccer fix now that the World Cup has wrapped up, you can always catch up on the new Ted Lasso—many of you may have already done just that!

While summer is a time for fun and relaxation, it also means we are entering the heart of hurricane season. September marks the halfway point of the season, but it is also historically one of the busiest months for hurricanes. Please continue to stay aware, stay informed, and be prepared. Don’t wait until a storm is approaching to make your plans or gather the supplies you may need.

The school year is back, which means more traffic, school buses, children walking and riding their bikes, and kids waiting at bus stops throughout the community. Please slow down and pay extra attention while driving through the community. You may also notice some new “Slow Down” signs around the neighborhood. These are reminders for all of us to take a little extra care and help keep our community safe.

September also brings the start of College football, a slight change in the weather, and hopefully plenty of opportunities to get out and enjoy a round of golf at the Club. There is always something to look forward to as we head into fall!

The Whiskey Creek Civic Association Board’s monthly meetings resume in September. Meetings are held at the Club on the second Wednesday of each month at 6:00 p.m.

This month, we are pleased to have a special presentation from Ana’s Friends, an amazing organization serving our community. We encourage you to attend, learn more about the organization, and participate in your Civic Association. Your involvement and input are important to the continued success of Whiskey Creek.

On behalf of the entire WCCA Board, thank you to our new and returning members for your continued support and commitment to Whiskey Creek.

Your generosity helps us preserve the character, beauty, and quality of life that makes our neighborhood so special. An annual voluntary membership of $125 helps fund community beautification, neighborhood improvements, deed restriction enforcement, communications, and special events that benefit everyone in Whiskey Creek.

If you are new to the neighborhood or have not yet renewed your membership, we encourage you to join us. Our goal is 100% community participation, and currently only about 30% of households participate. Every membership makes a difference and strengthens our ability to protect and improve the community we all enjoy.

The renovated Clubhouse has really been on fire lately with events, nightly specials, Taco Night, Spaghetti Night, and, of course, Friday Happy Hour and live music.

I can tell you firsthand—it’s a good time, with good drinks, good food, and good people. The Chef is doing a fantastic job, and it is always fun to spend time with friends and neighbors.

I encourage everyone to stop by the Club as it continues to be a great gathering place for our community, and there is always something happening.

Whiskey Creek is one of the most sought-after and friendliest neighborhoods in Southwest Florida. Whether you’re raising a family, enjoying retirement, or simply enjoying the neighborhood, everyone here contributes to making Whiskey Creek a place we can all be proud to call home.

The WCCA Board is honored to serve this community, and we sincerely appreciate your continued trust, support, and involvement.

Enjoy the rest of your summer, stay safe, and we’ll see you around the Creek!
