The May 7, 2026 meeting of the Whiskey Creek Ladies’ Club was attended by 22 members and one guest. Our meeting was a Tea Party. President Peg Mocharski opened the meeting with a flag salute and a welcome. The inspirational message was given by Ellie Neal. Tables were decorated beautifully for Spring by Cathy Trent and Sue Lynch. Tea Pots and Teacups were provided by Cathy Trent. The Best Hat was selected by Bob “the no hat” from the Cart Barn. Sue Lynch was selected for Seashells on the hat.

Beverly Saltonstall presented a lovely presentation on Burrowing Owls of Cape Coral. She had a PowerPoint with pictures of the owls. We have many of these in Whiskey Creek especially the golf course. Beverly was very knowledgeable on Burrowing Owls. She shared great information and stories.

The Whiskey Creek Ladies’ Club is a social and service organization. Membership is open to all women in Lee County. We meet on the first Thursday of each month at the Whiskey Creek Country Club. Social time is at 11:30 am, meetings start at 12:00 pm from October to May. An interesting and informative program is presented each month; this is a great opportunity to learn about the many programs offered in SouthWest Florida. New members and guests are always welcome. Contact Linda Jones at [email protected] or call Linda at (678)744-5461.

The next meeting is October 1, 2026. The next Board meeting is September 28, 2026.

Responses to the next meeting are due on Wednesday, one week prior to the meeting. We encourage you to make your meal selection for the following month when you sign in at the meeting. If you need to cancel, please notify Linda Jones or the club at least eight days prior to the meeting. Otherwise, you will be responsible for the cost of your meal.

The WCLC Book Club meets the third Thursday of each month at 10:30 am at the WCCC. There is a book discussion and lunch. Rosie reported the next book is The Shack.
