The October 1, 2026 meeting of the Whiskey Creek Ladies Club was attended by 20 members. President Peg Mocharski opened the meeting and the Cypress Lake High School JROTC Cadets welcomed us with the flag salute. The inspirational message was given by Ellie Neal. Tables were decorated beautifully for Halloween by Cathy Trent and Sue Lynch. Sue Lynch is our hostess for the year and will sell our raffle tickets as she welcomes us. The only birthday recognized this month was our own sunshine lady, Rosalie Merola. The May 7, 2026 meeting’s minutes were approved. The 50/50 raffle was won by Millie Kuehn.

The WCLC Book Club meets the third Thursday of each month at 10:30 a.m. at the WCCC. There is a book discussion and lunch. Everyone is welcome to join. Rosie reported the next book is “The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo”. Peg recommended this book.

Ladies Club Booklets for the 2026-2027 Membership were distributed.

Cory McNeil handed out the wish list for the Ronald McDonald House. They are going to be doing tours, more information on tours coming after first of year.

The four Cypress Lake High School JROTC Cadets shared their roles and ambitions after High School. They are great ladies and will be great leaders for our country. The JROTC colonel has graciously offered to bring his cadets to our October meetings in the future. These ladies shared their training and school level as well. Great program!

The next meeting is November 5, 2026, the next Board meeting is November 2, 2026.
