Spring has arrived, and we hope everyone is enjoying the beautiful weather and adjusting to the time change. Spring Break isn’t just for college students—although it sounds like mine had a great time—it’s also a wonderful opportunity for many families to travel and spend time together.
Spring is also one of the busiest and most exciting times of the year in our community. Between the many charitable events around Southwest Florida and catching a Twins or Red Sox spring training game, there is always something happening. Many of you may have also filled out a March Madness bracket. If you’re like me, every year it seems like the best bracket ever—at least for the first few rounds. Mine still looks good for now, but we’ll see what happens!
Community Entrance Improvements
Many residents may have noticed the recent improvements to the landscaping at the McGregor and College entrances. We have scheduled the refurbishment of the lighting columns at the McGregor entrance, as well as the painting of both entrances and the McGregor walls. This will give our community entrances a clean and fresh look.
These enhancements would not have been possible without the support of residents who contribute through their annual Civic Association memberships. Because of that support, the WCCA was able to fund this $50,000+ community improvement project, giving our entrances a refreshed, welcoming appearance.
This project was made possible through excellent partnerships with Lee County, the MSTBU Advisory Board, Tidewater Landscaping, and Extreme Painting. We thank everyone involved for helping make these improvements a reality. With your continued support, we remain committed to enhancing our neighborhood, protecting property values, and ensuring Whiskey Creek remains a truly special place to live.
Battle at the Creek Golf Tournament
The Whiskey Creek Civic Association will host the 4th Annual Battle at the Creek Golf Tournament on May 15 at Whiskey Creek Country Club. Each year the event supports a local charity, and this year’s beneficiary will be the PACE Center for Girls, an incredible nonprofit organization that supports local middle and high school girls with the resources and guidance they need to thrive. The tournament will once again be a four-person scramble with a 1:30 pm shotgun start and promises to be a fun day of golf and community support.
Sponsorship opportunities and team spots are in high demand and fill quickly. If you are interested in sponsoring or participating, please email: [email protected]. More details will be coming soon.
Renovated Clubhouse
If you haven’t visited the newly renovated clubhouse or the outdoor patio yet, you’re missing out. It has quickly become a favorite gathering spot for residents to meet friends, enjoy the atmosphere, and try the new menu. Events and casual gatherings like these reflect the spirit of fun, friendship, and community pride that make Whiskey Creek such a wonderful place to call home. It’s where neighbors connect—not just to celebrate, but also to strengthen the sense of community we all enjoy.
WCCA Board Meetings
The Whiskey Creek Civic Association Board Meetings have resumed and will continue monthly through May. Meetings are held at the clubhouse and are always open to residents. We encourage community participation and welcome your ideas and feedback.

Reminder Notice: The WCCA Board has discussed and reviewed the Lee County 7-day minimum rental rule, which has now been officially adopted. Rental platforms such as VRBO and Airbnb have been notified, and enforcement will be coordinated with Lee County, the WCCA Deed Restrictions Committee, and the MSTBU.
None of these improvements, community events, and neighborhood gatherings would be possible without the support of our WCCA members. Our goal is to achieve 100% participation, and we are currently at approximately 18% for 2026. If you have not yet joined or renewed your Civic Association membership, now is the perfect time—every membership truly makes a difference. Thank you for being the heart of Whiskey Creek. Together, we continue to make this an exceptional community to live in. Stop by an event, say hello, and catch up with your neighbors—we’d love to see you.
